We had a wonderful time at Il Pellegrino! We visited for a midweek lunch, so the atmosphere was quiet and relaxed - perfect for a peaceful meal, especially for my young daughter who has complex needs. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was excellent. A special mention to Marisa, who not only provided fantastic service but also took the time to chat with us. She was friendly, engaging, and genuinely curious about our lives, which added a lovely, personal touch. We truly appreciated the warm rapport and would definitely return!

A Truly Authentic Italian Experience! We recently visited this lovely Italian restaurant, and what an experience it was! From the moment we walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere set the tone for a wonderful evening. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive—always willing to listen and even adjust the menu to suit our preferences. I had the seafood linguine pasta with white sauce, and honestly, it was nothing short of amazing. The freshness of the ingredients, the perfect blend of spices, and that rich aroma—it genuinely felt like a taste of Italy right here! Every bite was bursting with flavour. A special shout-out to Igliy, who went above and beyond to make our dinner truly special and memorable. We had an awesome time, and this place has now become one of our top favourites. If you’re looking for good food, great service, and that authentic Italian touch, this is the spot to try. Highly recommended

Yesterday, me and my partner visited Il Pellegrino while traveling in Watford. The restaurant serve best Italian food in the town. Lovely background music with friendly staff. Price is affordable as well.

I don't really feel an atmosphere but at the same time I didn't feel a bad one. It was pleasant the waitress was smiling and attentive. The main reason I would highly recommend this place is the food, OH my goodness, I had the stake which was cooked to perfection, it was one of the best I have ever had in my life. My colleagues attending with had the chicken and the bass and they both said that it was a very good meal they would have again.

We came to this restaurant on Friday and it was fairly busy when we got there. We had a beautiful 3 course meal and all the time we was there people were coming and going but the staff coped really well and the busyness never detracted from the quality of the service. We came from Doncaster where we live to visit our daughter who lives in Watford and we will definitely be coming back.

This Italian restaurant is a personal favorite; I discovered it serendipitously and highly recommend it. Their pizza, with its uniquely thin and crispy crust, is exceptional. The grilled chicken breast with mushroom sauce is also outstanding. The ambiance is cozy, featuring a warm, woody decor and subdued music. While service speed could be improved—we experienced some delays and needed to call the waiter—it remains a hidden gem, offering a delightful dining experience capped by an excellent dessert.

A fantastic dining experience at Il Pellegrino! The food was exceptionally delicious, served hot and with great attention to detail. The service was impeccable—10/10. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and we were seated at a perfectly located table, making the experience even more enjoyable.

Il Pellegrino’s was a 10 out of 10 for sure. The staff were very polite and helpful and the food was very good. Food starter I had the Saute di Cozze alla, which is mussels in white wine and onion and herbs. (9.50) For main i had the Tagliatelle ai Gamberoni which is Tagliatelle with king prawns and cherry tomatoes. (13.50) The price of alcohol was also reasonable. 4 for a bottle of Koppaberg cider. Normally pay over 6 in the average place. Definitely recommend people to try
